Originally bought by the English business man R.B. Pope with a blue finish in 1938 (also available from CMC as Item No. M-083), the Bugatti Atlantic was eventually sold to fashion designer Ralph Lauren. After a long and costly restoration involving many Bugatti experts, the car was reintroduced to the public with an elegant black finish. At the world-famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the car won the “Best of Show” award in 1990. We have replicated this car down to minute details and bestowed upon the final product a brilliant finish (Item number M-085).
Experts agree that the Bugatti Atlantic Coupé is one of the most beautiful cars in automobile history. Its streamlined body is a classic example of Art Deco on wheels. Only three units of this fascinating sports car were ever built. But you can own one such beauty now, albeit in the form of a high-end miniature from CMC.
An incredibly detailed cockpit. The dashboard is recreated true to the original and complete with all instruments and controls.
Attentive to details! The exact replication of the silencer and its chromed end pipes. The riveted license plate and the spring-loaded spare-wheel cover lever.
