This security screwdriver is
designed to remove 4 flute security screws commonly used on Reed and
Koropp Drive-in speakers. If you have a speaker with screws that have four
notches on the top edge, then this is the tool to remove them. Refer to
pictures to ensure this is the correct screwdriver.
Suggestion prior to removing theft
proof fluke screws: Soak the screws with penetrating oil like WD40 for a day or
two before trying to back them out. Also try heating the area around the screw to cause thermal expansion to break the corrosion.
Another suggestion is to rotate the screw
in a clockwise direction if the screw binds. The loosen-tighten sequence sometimes will also break the corrosion
and allow it to unscrew.
Note: Junction box bottom and Fluke screws are not included.
